These changes affect BVP and Cheswick Green, with the A9 not now serving the village.
The key changes are:
Change of route between Solihull Town Centre and Blythe Valley Park – the A9 will serve the new residential development at BVP, providing a direct link to the rail network at Solihull Interchange. The planned bus stops on Stroudley Road will be brought into use and further promotion of the service within the development is envisaged. BVP will be accessed via A3400 and Kineton Lane.
Removal of service from Ilshaw Heath Road – concerns had been raised about buses using this route and although not a safety risk, we have responded to this feedback by removing this section of route. As a consequence, the A9 cannot effectively serve Cheswick Green and will not be served by the revised route. Cheswick Green has a number of other established services and so residents remain within easy reach of bus services to/from Solihull.
