Its formal name is Hillfield LNR but many refer to it as the park in Monkspath.
Anyway, it is rich in wild flowers, especially since the council began its wild flower project and allowing areas to grow in their natural state.
What many people are not aware of though is the varied orchids that are on show, especially on the ridge path that adjoins the business park. Here there are common and uncommon orchids, with some spectacular Bee Orchids. These Bee Orchids have been established for many years. This year I have seen as many as 11 different Bee Orchids in bloom.
