A NEW POLITICAL MAP FOR SOLIHULL MBC?

This relates to the wards within SMBC, not the parliamentary boundaries and will have implications for Blythe ward, which is the largest in terms of residents in the borough, substantially more so than most other wards.

The Boundary Commission last undertook such work in 2000/02, where Blythe ward was created for the 2004 local election.

Please have your say on the proposals.

The aim is that:

Each councillor represents a similar number of
electors
Reflects the electoral cycle so that each ward is represented by three councilors
Creates boundaries that are appropriate, and reflect community ties and identities
Delivers reviews informed by local needs, views and circumstances
