MENTAL HEALTH BOOKS DONATED TO LOCAL SCHOOL

Solihull Blythe ward Cllr Ken Hawkins has responded to a call to sponsor Mental Health books for local schools.

Responding to an invitation by Naomi Cullinane, an independent Usborne Provider, Ken agreed to sponsor a bundle of books for his local Monkspath Primary School, where he is also a school governor. Ken says ‘There are two benefits to this initiative. One is to help resource the school with much needed books for an important subject. Secondly, it helps promote an independent small business.’

Naomi Cullinane, from Solihull said ‘As an independent book partner I work with the local community and schools to spread the joy of books and reading, currently supporting schools with Mental Health books. This helps to ensure our local children have access to books they might need for their mental wellbeing’.

Ken continued, ‘I know these books will be well received by schools and I urge fellow councillors, parents, and especially local businesses to think about replicating this and donate books for their local schools, whether nursery, primary or secondary schools’.

Anybody who wishes to support this initiative can do so by contacting Naomi by email on RO_Books@outlook.com
