HILLFIELD LNR LAKE

Some great news.

Many may remember the report of contamination in the lake a few weeks ago. The action by Severn Trent Rangers and SMBC officers was superb but it seems the type and source of contamination can not be determined – it was though not an ammonia based substance. I did believe it emanated from a nearby commercial site though.

The good news is that duckling and goslings thrive, as do the three on site herons.

In addition, there are thousands of small fish in the stream that serves the lake. I say thousands, and there must be several hundred at the very least.

The lake is just down from the Amed Forces Community Garden. Why not pop along and have a visit?
