Some excellent campaigning and an endorsement of how well the borough council performs saw the Conservative Party hold onto the two traditional seats, which saw small changes in their boundaries.
A couple of comments:
So pleased Saqib was re-elected, with a good majority when compared to how the night went nationally. Saqib is a very good Member of Parliament and his result reflects this.
Equally pleased for Dr Neil Shari-Hurst, who we selected as our candidate after the election had been called. Neil has sound local connections and I have never seen a candidate worth so hard. This is also reflected in the result he earned.
Am looking forward to working with both again for the borough of Solihull.
