As part of new housing developments, Solihull Council has a policy to secure affordable housing, this takes the form of both rented and shared ownership properties. If you (or your children) can’t quite afford the mortgage on 100% of a home, Shared Ownership offers you the chance to buy a share of your home (between 25% and 75% of the home’s value) and pay rent on the remaining share. Later on, you could buy bigger shares when you can afford to. You’ll need to take out a mortgage to pay for your share of the home’s purchase price, or fund this through your savings.
At Cheswick Place in Cheswick Green, Bloor Homes are on site and over the course of the development will provide 54 shared ownership homes. These include two and three bedroom houses and two bedroom bungalows. These new homes are available through Bromford Housing Association. So if your need of housing or your children cannot afford to buy their own home locally why not have a look at the below link.

Thanks Martin, hopefully sorted now. I think it was the link I used from the councils email system and it has safeguards on it.
