I am pleased to show the link to the borough elections held last Thursday 7 May: http://www.solihull.gov.uk/About-the-Council/Voting/electionresults/Local-election-results-2015
Of 7,155 votes cast in Blythe ward I received 5,302, or 74%, with a majority of 4,288. This makes my majority the largest in Solihull Borough, something that only normally happens in wards like St Alphege. I am so pleased with the result and the trust put in me to represent resident for another four years.
I believe the use of social media over a long period of time, helping me to reach residents who would not normally have communications with their councillor, certainly helped and I will continue to do what I have been doing. In effect, my campaign for re-election in 2019 has already started and I certainly will not become one of those representatives who you tend to see and hear from in the few weeks before an election.
Best wishes,
Ken
