The council is consulting on proposals to expand Tidbury Green School. The School currently has capacity for 315 pupils (45 in each year group) plus 30 part-time nursery pupils. Under this proposal the school would expand to a capacity of 420 pupils (60 in each year group) from September 2018 and over time up to 60 part-time nursery pupils.
Essentially, development at nearby Tidbury Green Farm and that at Lowbrook Farm mean that planning for additional school places is necessary; both sites were determined by the High Court and Court of Appeal to not be returned to the green belt as wished by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
I have attached a ‘flyer’ advertising the consultation and public meeting (Tuesday24 January 2017 between 7pm and 8.30pm at Tidbury Green School: tidbury_green_consultation_flyer
The flyer also indicates how you can respond to the consultation by email, on-line or post. For ease, the link to the on-line consultation can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/GZN35YM with some additional information and links available here: http://www.solihull.gov.uk/about-the-council/consultations/currentconsultations
The report that went to the Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services is shown here: proposal-to-expand-tidbury-green-primary-school . The report highlights the need for more school spaces and indicates how and why spaces at the school have changed in the last ten years or so.
