Posted below is a letter I received toady in relation to a proposal to develop office accommodation on Fore Business Park, Monkspath by IM Properties (this site is between Notcutts Garden Centre and the M42).
The consultation event will be organised by planning consultant Turley and will be held in the Blue Room (part of the Children’s Centre building), Monkspath Junior and Infants School, Farmhouse Way, Monkspath between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on 6 June 2017.
The message to me included this statement:
“It is worth noting that the application in part will deal with a new headquarters development for IM Group and its associated companies including Lord Edmiston’s charity Christian Vision. This move has been brought about by HS2, which needs our existing HQ for the line of the route. It will see the IM Group of companies move from North Warwickshire Borough Council’s area into Solihull Borough, bringing with it more than 150 skilled jobs. We are also planning for the future expansion of the Group in the floor area we will be applying for.”
This proposal is likely to lead to a formal planning application and if you have a view, either you live nearby or use the footpath adjoining the site, please either visit the drop-in consultation of view the website of IM Properties.
The investment in Solihull and the region is substantial and welcomed. I do feel there is also an opportunity to seek environmental benefits to the immediate area, especially the public footpath that runs alongside the site and which is a medieval ‘Kings Highway’. I am sure we will be knocking on an open door for these improvements. However, there may be some concerns that you recognise that others do not, so please feel free to make comment.
