TREE PLANTING – Monkspath Park

Some unfinished business by me has been getting some trees planted to screen some buildings that can be seen from part of Hillfield Local Nature Reserve (aka Monkspath Park).

This is a screenshot of an online petition I raised a few years ago calling some planting, something that we did not insist on when planning permission was granted to the buildings across the park boundary:

treescreeningpetitionThanks to Adam from Solihull Councils Landscape team who not only arranged for volunteers from Solihull Conservation to help plant ten native British trees on the bund but also sourced the trees via the Arden Free Tree Scheme.
