Readers will be aware of the planning application by the club, to create an academy and driving range (see previous post for details). However, although I have noticed cars parked on land which is part of the golf club I did not really think about them too much, presuming the club had a few corporate golf days which necessitated cars parked away from the club house. Then I noticed them all the time and realised they were new cars, probably from one of the new car dealerships in nearby Highlands Road. The club would require planning permission to do this and it seems they do not have such. This, the on going planning application (submitted in July 2013 for goodness sake) and issues over the bund they created a few years ago, make me wonder what sort of neighbours the golf club really wants to be.
I have formally reported the presence of these vehicles to the councils planning department, requesting they take action. I shall raise this issue if and when the academy and golf range application, which require housing built on green belt land to pay for it, comes before the planning committee next week.
